The SLTN awards, which were hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr last Thursday (November 2), celebrated & recognised the rich and diverse businesses in hospitality & the tourism sector from around Scotland, presenting more than 20 of their coveted corkscrew trophies in front of an audience of 700.

No.10 was re-launched in October 2015 following a significant three-month refurbishment which transformed the venue into a stylish bar & 90-seater restaurant. Since launching, No.10 has been revitalised to its popular heydays, providing the North-east with an elegant, yet understated dining experience in a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. The expansion has also created more than 30 jobs for the North-east.

Restaurant Manager at No.10, Drew Stephen, said: “We are truly overwhelmed to be named ‘Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year’ in Scotland and would like to take this moment to thank our loyal customers and hardworking team that have contributed to the success of No.10.

“Over the last two years, we have poured our passion into the business to create something unique for the city and to be recognised by the SLTN and in front of the industry’s top venues is a very proud moment for us all.”

Operations Director at No.10, Alan Aitken, continued: “The SLTN awards are always a fantastic night for the trade to celebrate their hard work and we are absolutely thrilled that we managed to come home with the award. It is a fantastic reward for the efforts over the last two years and we are delighted that we can represent Aberdeen and shine a spotlight on the amazing food and drink offering we have here.”

SLTN editor, Gillian McKenzie, added: “Scotland’s licensed trade continues to operate at the highest level, with some of the most creative, professionally-run and friendliest venues anywhere in the world. As another challenging year for the trade draws to a close, the SLTN Awards has once again celebrated the incredible businesses and inspirational operators and staff that make the Scottish licensed trade so special. Congratulations to all of our winners and finalists; they were the best of an exceptional crop of entries to this year’s SLTN Awards and represent the absolute top tier of Scottish hospitality.”
